Directions for Port Mahon Road:
(turnoff at 39°10'1.41"N 75°26'54.04"W) From the intersection of Routes 8 & 9 just north of the town of Little Creek, go south on 9. After 0.3 mile, turn left (E) on Port Mahon Road. In one mile (39°10'16.89"N 75°25'52.35"W), there are several large fuel tanks (the tank farm) to the north. Continuing out the main road past the tanks, there is a productive stretch of marsh to the left (N). About 1.25 miles past the tank farm, you will arrive at the bay shore. The next 1.5 miles offer good birding along the shore, and the wooden fishing pier (39°10'53.12"N 75°24'13.01"W) allows birders to overlook a vast expanse of marsh.

39°8'40.84"N 75°26'34.17"W & 39° 9'9.31"N 75°25'49.80"W) From the intersection of Route 9 & Port Mahon Road, go 1.6 miles south on 9. Turn left (E) at the Little Creek Wildlife Area sign. Turn left (N) just past the headquarters area and follow the road as it winds its way to a small parking area (about 1.25 miles from Route 9), where a short boardwalk trail leads to the observation tower.
